Please note changes to our "banned bat" policy effective for the 2009 season. The ASA now publishes an "approved" bat list as opposed to a non-approved bat list. The league has decided to adopt this policy for 2009. Effectively, bats with the ASA 2000 or 2004 Stamp, and are not on the banned bat list, are approved for play. All other bats are banned, with the exception of those that, in the judgement of the umpire, were manufactured prior to 2000. It is highly recommended that you first consult the ASA Approved Bat list before purchasing a new bat for league play. Also note that effective January 4, 2008, the Miken Freak bat is banned. We have confirmed that this includes all models of the Freak except the Freak 98. The Freak 98 can be identified by the numbers "98" in the Freak script on the barrel, as well the model number MSFN printed on the barrel.
